Video games has been an integral part of my interests. It is one of the main reasons I picked Computer Science as a major. I have been introduced to game development in Game Jams during my college years, and I became a consistent participant in them. It introduces you to people with different backgrounds and majors with a single goal, to come up with a game idea and make it into reality within 2 days. Games from different genres (like platformers, rhythm games, etc... ) to games with different inputs (controller, keyboard, bananas, etc...).
Game Jams also introduced me to many tools used in game development like: Construct2, Unity Engine, Blender, and more...
Below is a list of some of my Game Jam projects but not including games that are currently in development privately.
Monster King
The premise of Monster King is that you play as a giant monster terrorizing the city. However, what make this game special is that it blends the digital world to the physical. For example: It allows the player to physically hit a building prop in the real world and the digital world would react to it with sound and visual effects. Props were made for buildings, soldiers and tanks. Each prop is equipped with sensors to track movement and to reflect a response on the prop's digital counterpart.
Before playing, the player dresses-up with a monster costume, each limb has a tracking sensor to simulate walking and stomping effects in the game.
This game was demoed in Sacramento Game Developers Expo, CA 2016

Physical Boardgame
Originally it was a digital strategy game played against an AI. Where the player needs to get to the other side of the board by taking steps (from dice roll). The AI on the other hand places obstacles on the player's path, making the player change route every turn. The AI's goal is to prevent the player from reaching the destination within the designated number of steps.
However, the game was transformed into a physical co-op boardgame due to time constraints related to the developing of the AI and having the AI think differently depending on difficulty. The time was spent instead on balancing the game between the first player and the second player (the obstacle placer).
Grandma's Day Out
Its a comedy platformer game about a grandmother running away from her infirmary. Then tries to break-in to save her fellow infirmary mates who were getting abused by the staff. Its a game that promotes Elder care while keeping the game entertaining with light-hearted cutscenes and obstacles.
Showcase
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
